The business card finish that makes colour pop
If your brand lives on colour, photography or a bold logo, gloss is the finish that shows it off. The high-shine gloss laminate sits over the ink, making colours richer and photos sharper, so an image-led card looks its best, brighter and bolder than a matte or uncoated card. It is also wipe-clean and sealed against light moisture, so it holds that shine through daily handling.

What is a glossy business card?
It is a standard 89 x 54mm business card with a shiny gloss laminate applied to both sides after printing. The lamination makes colours richer and more vivid, gives photos and logos more punch, and seals the surface so it is wipe-clean and resists light moisture. It is the finish to choose when you want a bold, colourful card that stands out.
Gloss or matte for your business card?
Gloss makes colours and photos pop, best for bold, colourful or image-led brands. Matte is non-glare and understated, and reads more corporate. Both are the same price at Tako, so it comes down to the look. One honest note: gloss is usually the tougher finish, but our matte is scuff-resistant, so that advantage does not really apply here, choose on the look you want. For the understated option, see our matte laminated business cards.
Who these cards suit
For cafes, retail, hospitality and creative businesses across Perth, the high-shine finish makes brand colours and photography sing. Photographers, designers and anyone with a bold, image-led brand use gloss to show that work off, and because we print in South Perth you can collect the moment they are ready. If you would like it designed for you, our design studio can help.
Are glossy cards durable?
Yes. Both sides are laminated, so the card is wipe-clean, resists light moisture, and holds up to daily handling in a wallet or a cardholder. And every file gets a free check before it prints, so if your bleed is short or a colour will shift, we catch it and fix it with you first, rather than printing the problem.
