The short version
Tako Print is a boutique commercial print and design studio in South Perth, Western Australia, run by Danielle - a graphic designer who bought the business and rebuilt it around one idea: printing shouldn't feel like a gamble. Every file is checked before it goes near the press, so mistakes get caught on screen, not in your hands.
We print in-house at our South Perth studio on a Ricoh Pro C7500 digital press and finish on site - laminating, folding and cutting - so the same person often checks your file and runs your job.
Our story
Tako (Japanese for octopus) opened in South Perth in 2012 as someone else's print shop. Danielle bought it, kept what worked, and rebuilt the rest around a single habit: checking every file before it's printed, so a problem gets caught before it costs you money. That difference is what took Tako from a standard print shop to the printer that professional services firms, clinics and local businesses come back to.
The team behind Tako
- Danielle - owner and director. Graphic designer by training, printer by trade. She checks artwork, runs quotes, and built Tako's own job-management system from scratch to keep every order on track.
- Heather - in the shop five days a week, keeping production moving and customers looked after.
- Jelly - the shop dog, and unofficial quality control.
What we print
We specialise in short-run commercial print that comes off a sheet and gets finished by hand:
- Booklets, annual reports and saddle-stitched documents
- Capability statements and corporate proposals
- Business cards, letterheads, compliments slips and stationery
- Flyers, brochures and folded leaflets
- Posters and plans
- Certificates, vouchers, invoice books and short-run specialty jobs
All of this is printed and finished in-house at our South Perth studio - printed on the Ricoh Pro C7500, then laminated, folded and cut on site. We also handle signage, including corflute and A-frame signs, produced in Perth.
