Brochure stock is a balance between feel and fold. 150gsm is the working standard - a mid-weight that takes a fold cleanly and holds its shape in a rack without curling. Step up to 300gsm when the brochure has to survive handling, but heavier stock has to be creased first (a scored line pressed into the sheet) or the coating cracks along the fold. Matte and gloss both fold well; uncoated reads as more considered and takes a pen, which matters if someone writes an appointment or a price on it.
