A5 (148 x 210mm) is the most popular - big enough for real notes, small enough for any desk. A4 suits meeting and site use; DL (99 x 210mm) makes a neat to-do or checklist pad. All are glued at the head so pages tear away cleanly, with a firm board backing so the pad works in the hand, not just on a desk.

25 or 50 sheets per pad are the standard options. 50 is the sweet spot for branded desk pads - enough life to keep your logo in front of someone for weeks, without the bulk that makes thicker pads splay. The paper itself is an uncoated bond stock, so it takes ink and pencil properly - notepads are one product where you don't want a coated sheet.
