Business card printing in Perth, common questions

How much do business cards cost in Perth?

At Tako the price is shown upfront on every card, GST included, with no quote request. A standard matte or gloss card is $100.96 for 250, velvet $131.20, recycled $120.30, square $200.00, raised Spot UV $235.20 and foil $278.80. Most of the cost is in the setup, so the price per card drops sharply as the quantity climbs, and printing more than one design in the same order earns a further discount.

Where can I get business cards printed in Perth?

Tako Print is a commercial print and design shop at Shop G01, 96 Mill Point Road, South Perth. We print our core card range in house and manage every job, specialty finishes included, from the South Perth shop, checking each file by hand before it runs. Collect from the shop or have your cards delivered across Perth and freighted Australia-wide, or call us on 08 6107 6756.

Can I get business cards printed urgently in Perth?

We are a proof-before-print shop rather than a same-day one, so standard cards run an estimated 3 to 5 business days from artwork approval and specialty finishes like raised Spot UV and foil take a little longer. If you have a deadline, tell us when you order and we will let you know honestly whether it fits before you pay.

What size are business cards?

The Australian standard is 89 x 54mm, sized to sit in any wallet, cardholder and desk organiser. Supply artwork at 95 x 60mm, which is the card plus 3mm of bleed on every edge, with text kept 5mm inside the trim. We also print square cards at 65 x 65mm, and 5mm rounded corners on every finish, for a format that stands out in a stack.

How long does business card printing take?

Standard cards are an estimated 3 to 5 business days from final artwork approval. Raised Spot UV and foil take a little longer because the finish is applied in its own pass. Collect from our South Perth shop on Mill Point Road, or we deliver across Perth and freight Australia-wide.

Should I choose matte, gloss or velvet?

Matte is the professional default: non-glare, scuff-resistant, and you can write on it. Gloss makes colour and photography pop but shows fingerprints and cannot be written on. Velvet soft-touch is the premium option, a suede-like feel people notice the moment the card changes hands. If your card's job is to be remembered, velvet does work the design alone cannot.

What premium finishes are available?

Raised Spot UV lifts a clear gloss off the surface so logos and text can be felt under the thumb. Foil presses real metallic foil into the card in silver, gold, colour or holographic. Velvet adds a soft-touch feel. Finishes are priced per design and add a little time, since each is applied in its own pass. One well-chosen finish on a strong layout beats three competing for attention.

Do you print recycled or eco-friendly business cards?

Yes. Our recycled cards are printed on 350gsm Impact Recycled, a 100% recycled and FSC-certified stock, and we leave them unlaminated so they stay recyclable, none of the grey craft-paper look people fear. For businesses tendering to government or larger organisations, a genuinely recyclable card is an easy consistency signal.

Can I print cards for a whole team in one order?

Yes. Under Versions you supply one master design and each person's details, and we produce every set within a single run, with volume pricing across the whole order and a bigger discount the more designs you add. Your artwork stays on file, so cards for a new starter are a quick email rather than a fresh job.

Can you design and check my business cards?

If you have a designer, send their files and we take it from there. If you don't, our South Perth design team builds cards every week, from a full brand identity to a logo tidy-up. Either way, every file is checked before it goes near a press, sizing, colour, resolution, the lot, and if something will cause a problem you hear about it at proofing, not when you open the box.

What business cards cost

Every price is shown upfront on the product and in the finishes table above, GST included, with no quote to request. The cost sits mostly in the setup, so the price per card drops sharply as the quantity climbs, and running more than one design in the same order earns a further discount.

Turnaround

Standard cards are an estimated 3 to 5 business days from artwork approval. Raised Spot UV and foil run a little longer because the finish is applied in its own pass. We are a proof-before-print shop rather than a same-day one: every job is checked by a real person first, so what lands in the box is the card you pictured.

What to send

A print-ready PDF in CMYK with 3mm bleed. For the standard 89 x 54mm card that is a 95 x 60mm file; the square is 65 x 65mm plus bleed. Illustrator files are welcome too. No artwork yet? Our South Perth design team builds business cards every week, from a full identity to a tidy-up of the logo you have been making do with.

The card is rarely the whole story

Most clients pair their cards with matching letterheads and stationery, so everything a client receives agrees with itself. Chasing contracts? A capability statement, a presentation folder and cards that match, designed as one thing. And for regular print needs, our Commercial Print Management keeps the whole brand suite consistent without a quote cycle every time. Start with the card; the rest can follow.
