Square business cards that break the rectangle norm
Almost every business card handed over is a standard rectangle, which is exactly why a square card gets noticed. Ours are a modern 65 x 65mm square with 5mm rounded corners as standard, printed full colour both sides, and you choose the finish, velvet, matte, gloss or recycled, so a distinctive shape meets exactly the feel your brand needs. They are printed in South Perth, so the turnaround stays short and you can collect in person.
Square business cards, printed in South Perth
Tako prints square business cards at our South Perth shop, a 65 x 65mm card with rounded corners, full colour front and back, in your choice of 350gsm or 450gsm stock and a velvet, matte, gloss or recycled finish. Estimated production time is 3-5 business days from artwork approval. Collect from the shop or have them delivered.
What do square business cards cost?
Pricing is shown upfront, no quote request needed, and it depends on the stock and finish you choose. For 250 cards, GST inclusive, matte or gloss on 350gsm starts at $200, recycled at $217.60, and premium velvet at $259.20, with the price per card coming down as the quantity climbs. Adding a raised Spot UV accent to the velvet is a specialty option on top. Every price on the page includes GST.
What is a square business card?
It is a business card in a square format rather than the standard rectangle. Ours measure 65 x 65mm with 5mm rounded corners, printed full colour on both sides. Because the shape is unusual, the card reads as deliberate and design-led, and it comes in the same premium finishes as our rectangle cards, so you are choosing a distinctive shape without giving up the feel you want.
Choosing your finish
The square shape works with any of our finishes, so pick the one that matches your brand. Velvet on 450gsm is soft-touch and suede-like, the most premium feel, and can carry a raised Spot UV accent. Matte on 350 or 450gsm is understated and non-glare, and you can write on it. Gloss on 350gsm is high-shine and makes colour and photos pop. Recycled on 350gsm is the eco option, with a natural, sustainable stock.
Square or a standard rectangle card?
It comes down to standing out versus fitting in. A square card is the memorable choice, the one that gets kept on a desk or a pinboard because it is different, but it will not slot neatly into a wallet or cardholder built for the standard rectangle. If you want a card that is practical and fits anywhere, the standard shape is the safer pick. Browse the standard range on the business cards page. If you want the impact of the square, this is the one.
Proofed before it prints
Whichever finish you choose, a real person checks your artwork, the bleed, the resolution and the colour setup before your job goes to print, and comes back to you if anything needs adjusting. Square cards suit the businesses that trade on how they look, creative studios, designers, photographers and image-led brands across Perth, where a card that stands out does some of the work for you. If you need the artwork created, our Perth design team can help.
