What file do I send?

A print-ready PDF at the flat size for your fold, with 3mm bleed on every edge, fonts embedded or outlined, images at 300dpi and colours in CMYK. Half fold is a 420 x 297mm flat sheet, tri fold is 627 x 297mm. Send it as one PDF with the outside on page one and the inside on page two, and keep anything important 5mm in from the trim and away from the folds.

Half fold or tri fold?

Half fold gives you four A4 pages: a cover, a two-page spread inside, and a back for contacts and accreditations. Tri fold gives you six panels, one per service or section, and folds down to A4 for a folder or an envelope. If you have more to say than six panels will hold, look at a stitched booklet instead.

What if my artwork has a problem?

We tell you before we print, not after. A logo that will print fuzzy, a fold landing through a line of text, a missing bleed: you get an email explaining what we found and how we are fixing it, or what we need from you. Nothing goes on the press until you have approved a proof.

How many should I order?

Most tenders need a handful, most panel applications a few dozen, and a trade show or a sales team a few hundred. Half fold starts at 50 copies and tri fold at 10, so order what the next month needs and reprint when the details change.

Can you design it for me?

Yes. Our Capability Statement Design and Print service takes your content, gives you two concepts and two rounds of revisions, and prints the result. Choose that page instead if you do not have artwork yet.

How long does it take?

Estimated production time is 2-3 business days from the moment you approve the proof. If you are up against a submission date, tell us when you order and we will plan around it.

Do you print more than 2,000?

Yes, on quote. Tell us the fold and the quantity and we will price it.

Can I get a heavier stock or a laminated cover?

On this product, no, it is 200gsm satin. For a heavier feel or a laminated card cover, order it as a booklet through our Premium Booklets, or ask us to quote a folded statement on 250gsm.

Set up your file

Work at the flat size, not the folded size. Half fold is 420 x 297mm flat, folding to 210 x 297mm. Tri fold is 627 x 297mm flat, with panels of 210, 210 and 207mm so the inside panel tucks in cleanly. Add 3mm bleed on every edge, so your document is 426 x 303mm for a half fold and 633 x 303mm for a tri fold.

Bleed, trim and safe area

Run any colour, photo or background that touches the edge 3mm past the trim. Keep text, logos and anything you cannot afford to lose 5mm inside the trim, and 5mm clear of each fold line. Paper moves a millimetre or two in trimming and folding; the safe area is what keeps your work off the edge.

Pages and folds

Supply one PDF with two pages: the outside first, the inside second. For a half fold, the outside page carries the back cover on the left and the front cover on the right. For a tri fold, the outside carries the inside flap, back cover and front cover from left to right, and the inside carries the three inner panels. Not sure which panel is which? Send it anyway and we will check the imposition before the proof.

Colour, fonts and images

CMYK, not RGB. Fonts embedded or outlined. Photos and logos at 300dpi at the size they print. Large solid areas of black are richer built as C60 M40 Y40 K100; keep body text as 100% K only.

Not print-ready?
